DESIGN CRITERIA:

ODTÜ, one of the most respectable educational foundations of Turkey, developed its own electric and electronic research center. This is a project of interior planning and decoration of the ground floor space.

Research center was built as a “ Smart Building” and took 2 years to build. Building is an engineering marvel which used innovative technologies such as membrane water treatment systems and electricity production capabilities thru solar panels.

The 430 m2 ground floor entrance is designed in the most visual and functional ways where the middle area was kept as a hollow floor section. Structuring it that way gave us a variety of area usage in distinctive ways.

Custom made seating sections, surrounded by the library and green areas, was designed for the users of this center. Choosing environmentally-conscious materials became a high priority for this project. Inside this space, where you can instantly notice intense custom made wood works, you can also experience the leather wall coverings, coloured plexy glasses and timber games in the most unique forms.
