DESIGN CRITERIA:

A renovation project of a 30 year old fabric store located in Osmanbey, one of the busiest trade districts of Istanbul. JK Mimarlik was contracted to deliver the turn key renovation project from start to beginning with a scope that includes concept development, design, exterior facade replacement and entire interior arrangement.

Instead of following the conventional concept designs of the other stores in the area, modern forms were applied in this 2 story retail space.

The existing stores volume and capacity is enlarged by using modern design techniques. Construction of a newly positioned staircase, installation of newmat lighting system for the entire ceiling with additional lighting accents and epoxy flooring application are some of the work that was completed in this project.

Modern industrial style exterior facade was specially designed and built out of iron construction. Several wood covers and bronze mirror applications inside the interior were used to complement the facade concept .White epoxy flooring and ceiling coverings supported overall brown-white theme in a harmonious way.
